Entertainment & Attractions in Western Mass


Springfield, MA
There's lots to do in Western Massachusetts.  If you get the chance, you may want to check out some of these attractions.

The Yankee Candle Factory is located in nearby Deerfield, MA. It offers a number of different attractions, including a candle making museum and a candle mountain lodge.


Springfield is the birthplace of Basketball, and home to the Basketball Hall of Fame! It is just 5 minutes from the reception hall.


What better way to spend a day than at Six Flags! Six Flags New England is right in Agawam. You can buy tickets online and find out more information on their website.



Norman Rockwell is one of New England's famed artists. This museum, located in the Berkshires, is filled with treasured works of art.
The Berkshire Mountains are one of New England's most scenic attractions.  They are about a half-hour West of West Springfield and offer a number of interesting places to visit, including: the Prime Outlets, quaint bed-and-breakfasts, and antique shops.


Dr. Seuss grew up in and was inspired by Springfield, MA. A museum in his honor is included in The Quadrangle of Springfield, which also is home to 3 other museums of art, history, and science.

Northampton is a small city just a short drive from Springfield. It has many quaint restaurants and shops, a nice way to spend an afternoon.



Whether you have kids with you or not, the Forest Park Zoo is fun for the whole family. It's just $4.50 per adult, $3.50 per child!





If you're in the mood for a concert or performance, Tanglewood is your best bet. There are several performances during the first two weeks of August. Tanglewood is about 50 miles West of West Springfield, and there are several attractions listed on the Tanglewood website. See if you'd like to make a day trip out of it.
